Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about the EB-5 program and our services.

What is the EB-5 Immigrant Investor Program?

The EB-5 program was created by Congress in 1990 to stimulate the U.S. economy through foreign investment and job creation. It grants lawful permanent residency (a green card) to qualifying foreign nationals who invest a minimum capital amount — currently $800,000 in a Targeted Employment Area (TEA) or $1,050,000 in a non-TEA — in a USCIS-approved project that creates at least 10 full-time U.S. jobs.

How long does the EB-5 visa process take?

Processing times vary by country of birth due to visa retrogression. Investors born in mainland China, India, and Vietnam typically face longer waits due to high demand for EB-5 visas. Most other nationalities can anticipate an I-526E approval and consular processing within 18–30 months. We provide a realistic timeline assessment tailored to your nationality and investment structure during the initial consultation.

What is a Regional Center and why does it matter?

A USCIS-designated Regional Center is an entity authorized to pool EB-5 capital for economic development projects. Investing through a Regional Center allows job creation to be measured indirectly — meaning your investment can support a broader range of positions, not just direct employees. Most professional EB-5 advisors recommend the Regional Center pathway for its greater flexibility, broader project selection, and reduced administrative burden on the investor.

What sets New World Ventures apart from other EB-5 advisors?

New World Ventures combines FINRA-registered broker-dealer representation (via GT Securities), award-winning business plan preparation (2023–2025), and a Matter of Ho expert witness — all under one roof. Our team has facilitated $1B+ in capital formation with a 100% investor repayment track record across 400+ business plans and clients from 25+ countries. We provide genuinely independent, fiduciary-quality advice.

Is my investment capital at risk in an EB-5 deal?

Like all investments, EB-5 carries risk, and capital is not guaranteed. However, our rigorous due diligence process — prepared to the Matter of Ho expert witness standard — is designed to identify red flags before you commit. We evaluate developer track records, loan structures, job creation methodologies, and legal compliance history. Our 100% repayment track record for clients we've personally represented reflects this disciplined approach.
